MS Dhoni Step Down captaincy as Fixed Overs Cricket

MS Dhoni has announced he would not lead India as fixed format cricket T20s and ODIs. He has taken this huge decision before England ODI series is about to start in January 2017. Dhoni would be available as a wicket-keeper and batsman for selectors informed by BCCI authorities.

The meeting of BCCI is going to be held on 6th Jan 2017 for team selection.

Mr. Rahul Johri told that he would like to thank MS Dhoni on behalf of every Indian cricket fans and BCCI for his outstanding contribution as the captain of Indian cricket team for all formats. Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, India has touched heights which would be remembered and difficult to be touched in coming years. Cricket fans would remember the great achievements of one of the best wicket-keeper and world class finisher for many years.

MS Dhoni was selected as Indian Captain in 2007. MSD had taken a decision of retirement from test cricket in 2014 then he has led the team as a captain till date for ODIs and T20s.

We can’t forget MS Dhoni’s contribution for Indian cricket as a leader. We have won a T20 world cup in 2007 then ICC World cup in 2011 and we have won ICC champions trophy in 2013 under his legendary captainship.
