Salman Khan: a controversial actor who is having fans all over India

Salman Khan is a renowned Indian actor who is famous for his stardom all over the world. His real name is Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. He was born on 27 December 1965. Salman is one of the most influential and successful actors of Indian Cinema. He has a great fan following across the globe, specifically in Asia.



Salman khan is the son of popular screenwriter Salim Khan and his stepmother is Helen who is one of the finest actresses of Bollywood. Salman’s two brothers, Arbaaz khan and Sohail khan are also a part of Bollywood industry. However, his two sisters, Alvira and Arpita have never entered the Indian cinema.

Salman’s all siblings are married but he is still unmarried. His relationship with different Bollywood actresses has always been controversial. He has dated many actresses like Aishwarya Rai, Sangeeta Bijlani, and Katrina kaif.


Salman’s life has always been controversial. Some of them are:

  •    The Hit and Run case in 2002:

This case was one of those cases which brought great disturbance in Salman’s life. Salman khan accused of running over his car on the people sleeping at a footpath in Bandra, Mumbai. One person died in that incident and other 3 injured. Due to insufficient evidence, Salman acquitted of all the charges.

  •    Blackbucks case:

During the shooting of  a film “Hum Saath Saath Hain”, Salman along with other actors like Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali khan, Tabu, and Neelam were accused of poaching two blackbucks in a kankani village near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Salman got to one-year prison in 2006 for this case and later he got the bail.

  •    Relationship:


Salman had many relationships with different actresses. He was once in a relationship with Aishwarya Rai but then the couple broke off in 2002. Later on, Aishwarya claimed that Salman is harassing her and her parents even filed a complaint against him. This matter took serious turns but the issues resolved later on.

  •    26/11 attacks:


After the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai by Pakistani terrorists, Salman said in a statement that people should not blaim pakistan. He also added Indian security systems have failed and this is the reason behind the destruction. This remark got strong reactions from people and government and Salman apologized later for his comments.


Apart from the Bollywood, Salman has also remained active in the television industry. He started his journey from a show called 10 ka dum. Salman hosted the show really well and the show gained the highest top. After 10 ka dum, Salman started hosting Big Boss from season 4. Salman has also endorsed many brands like Hero Honda bikes, Limca soft drink, Cola etc. the actor has also received many awards for these shows.
