Friday night. Well, this is one night that everyone is eagerly waiting for after a hard week’s work. With numerous parties, all around your city in the best clubs sometimes one just wants to stay at home and unwind. Waking up to a hangover free Saturday is a rare but a sweet change. Whether you are bored on a Friday night or haven’t made plans with your friends or just want to spend some time with just yourself or your family and are running out of ideas, well you’ve just come to the right place. Let’s show you how you can make a Friday night at home nothing less than epic.
1. COOK SOMETHING NEW:
If you haven’t treated yourself in a while, this is the perfect plan for your Friday night. All you need to do is stop a nearby grocery store and pick up the ingredients for your dish tonight. Be it your favorite pasta carbonara, or a mushroom pizza or pepperoni or even sausage. And if you fancy a sweet tooth then bake away the Friday night with a banana bread that could help you with your Saturday morning breakfast as well.
2. CATCH UP ON SOME BEAUTY SLEEP:
With the world moving at its fastest we sure miss the one thing that is truly essential and admit it we all love it. Our Zzzz’s, in short, a good night sleep. So, this Friday night if you feel like you’ve worked a tad bit harder this week by giving up your sleep then switch off that phone besides you, turn off the television and tuck yourself early in the blanket only to wake up with reduced under eye marks and a to a fresher morning.
3. DO SOMETHING CREATIVE:
With the corporate world sucking the life out of you, you are sure to have not given your creative side the regular boost that it needs. This is your opportunity to get going. Get those stamps out of your collection and your embosser to make some cards for your loved ones. Do some coloring in an adult coloring book. Write in your journal. Sew a something for your better half. The possibilities are limitless.
4. PAMPER YOURSELF:
We all deserve a night to look and feel more special than usual. If you haven’t given yourself the required attention in a while, then this Friday night is your day. Put on a face or hair mask, paint your nails, drink flavored tea, or taking a hot soothing bath with some bubbles in that bathtub or simply light a few candles and feel at a spa. And if you want to go that extra mile then call a masseuse home.
5. CATCH UP WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND:
Haven’t gotten the time to gossip with your long distant best friend? Call up that friend who you miss the most and make the most of this Friday night at home. You can skype, FaceTime or just voice call and talk about all that you have missed in the past few days. Even better would be to mix yourself a martini and have a virtual toast with that friend, it’ll almost make you feel like you are hanging out.
This one is my personal favorite. With the droning and strenuous routine, we follow we hardly have the time to catch up on our favorite movies and tv shows. One Friday night you could just binge watch them. If you are into movies, then You can also pick a genre and watch it all. And if you fancy tv shows then go for it from season 1 till you fall asleep on the couch watching them.
7. SOMETHING OLD SCHOOL:
If you are living in a hostel or with your family, just gather all the members around and play a board game. It could be something as fun as twister or jenga or something like crossword or monopoly. Just put in some chits of your favorite game and pick up. All you need to do after is Start Playing.
8. GET PRODUCTIVE:
Not one of my personal favorites on a cozy Friday night, but for all those of you who don’t get time in the week, get to some cleaning on a Friday night. Rearrange that messed up the drawer of yours or move around a bit of your furniture. For a fresher look of the place and feel good about yourself at the end of the week for doing something more productive than usual on a Friday night.
